MARY ADJELEY NARTEY
DIRECTOR, HUMAN RIGHTS
Mrs. Mary Adjeley Nartey is currently responsible for steering the Commission’s Human Rights Department in promoting and protecting fundamental human rights and freedoms, as enshrined in Ghana’s Constitution and other international human rights conventions that Ghana has ratified.
She is a Lawyer and a Women and Children’s Rights activist who holds an LLB from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a professional qualifying certificate in law from the Ghana School of Law with more than a decade’s legal experience under her belt.
Before assuming the position of Director, Human Rights, she was the Regional Director for Greater Accra and Central Regions. She also served in various capacities at the Commission as a District Director in the Ada Foah district.
