MRS. NANA YAMFOAH AMUA-SEKYI
DIRECTOR, PUBLIC EDUCATION

 

Nana Yamfoah Amua-Sekyi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Religion and a Master of Arts in Democracy, Governance, and Law. She is a lawyer by profession and a chief legal officer with twenty-six (26) years of work experience.

She is currently the Director for Public Education which is a cross-cutting Department working on the three mandates of the Commission, with the key responsibility of supervising all 132 district offices of the Commission on public education nationwide.

Before this, she was the Director for both the Central and Western Regions where she coordinated the work of the Commission in the two regions. She has represented the Commissioner on various local and intentional assignments and worked with both private and governmental organizations, notably, the Danish Institute on Human Rights, United Nations Development Program (UNPD), and United Nations Development Program (UNPD)

She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, the Legal and Administrative Committee under the United Nations Development Program (UNPD) Ghana, and also a lay Counselor.
