Mr. MAWULI AVUTOR

Director, Public Education.

Mr. Mawuli Avutor holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Bachelor of Education Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Cape Coast.

He joined CHRAJ in the year 2002 as an Investigator after his National Service with the Commission, and later converted into public education and became a pioneer of the Commission’s Public Education Department when it was established in 2003.

Mr. Avutor’s work output and dedication to work took him through the ranks to his current position.

He is an ardent and experienced advocate for Human Rights and Good Governance with high expertise and skills in programme design and organisation, facilitation, human relations and networking.

He represents CHRAJ on the National Steering Committee on Child Labour, Ghana’s multi-stakeholder body for the Coordination of all interventions aimed at eliminating child labour.

Mr. Mawuli Avutor’s passion for advancing the rights of the vulnerable has earned him appointments as Chairman of the Sub Committee on Policy Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation  of the National Steering Committee on Child Labour since 2018, the Focal Person for Child Labour,  and  also for Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

As a vocal advocate for staff welfare and development, Mr. Avutor was a member of the Conditions of Service and Scheme of Service Committee, and also the Vice Chair of the CHRAJ Staff Association (CHRAJSA) Welfare Committee. Additionally, he served as the National Secretary for the CHRAJSA for two consecutive terms and the administrator of CHRAJSA Provident Fund.
